Button 2 WordPress Theme

Right now I am attracted to the Button 2 Theme. The creators describe it as “A stylish, lighthearted theme for crafters, hobbyists, and creators.”

It looks like it has an adorable frame to put your featured images in. If you want your featured image displayed in this quaint frame check the Display on single posts in the Blog display options. In the end I uncheck all featured images because although I love the
frame, the images were too big for my taste.

You have your site identity where you can have a logo, site title and tagline. I chose all three. For a background color I chose match header image because I do have a colorful header and was curious to see what it would come up with. The matte purple it came up with is nice. I kept it.Screen Shot 2017-05-08 at 9.59.07 AM

The Lobster Two type font is a favorite so I kept that but change the size font from HUGE to LARGE. Looks better. You do have an option to use the Premium Fonts by Adobe Typekit if you feel the need to do that.

Button 2 has two types of menus and you can both or just one of them or add more mess and or items to these mess. I do enjoy the social media menu although how to add the social media shortcut to the social media menu was not obvious at first.

I love how this theme display the tags in a neat line above your blog post title. It gives it authenticity. Screen Shot 2017-05-08 at 10.23.31 AM

It annoyed me that the links to your recent posts go to a new tab or window, however that issue is easily changed by unchecking the open links in new window tab in the display WordPress posts Options.

I do think my blog looks fabulous with this theme!
